Server Rules
1. Account Ownership and Responsibility
- Account ownership is non-transferable, the property of the creator, and can’t be shared or traded.
- All players are responsible for their account, IP address, social club, and hardware. Linked accounts will face the same punishments and cannot be unlinked.
- Character names must be realistic, resemble real world names, and cannot be famous people.
- Players may not scam or deceive other players out of character for any asset or will be permanently banned.
- Players cannot transfer assets without valid IC motive and one sided transfers must be approved by a transfer request. Trading an asset for an OOC reason would be Real World Trading (RWT).
- Players must not use any type of 3rd party modification system to help them gain no advantage.
- Server bugs may not be used for advantage and must be reported on Bug Reports on the forums.
- Server scripts must not be exploited in any way, e.g. circumventing AFK timer.
- Upon a player's death all parties involved in the death should forget memory of all information and any negative interactions and events leading up to the death.
- Information prior to the death should be completely forgotten and is no longer valid justification for any future hostile action against those involved.
- Players can’t return to the area of death until the prior RP is finished and 30 min OOC pass.
- Government faction members may return to their turf and resume unrelated faction duties.
- If a player uses the NCZ for protection from the attacker the roleplay scene must go on and the attacker is able to kill the enemy.
- Players may not go to a NCZ within 15 minutes after engaging in criminal activity or a resulting chase, unless they are turning themselves in to law enforcement.
- No Crime Zones are listed below. The block surrounding each zone is also considered.
- All Owned Business
- Government and law enforcement offices
- Hospitals and Fire Stations
- All Banks
- All Parking Garage's
- Powergaming is playing unfairly through not allowing other players a chance to roleplay responses and their own actions, unrealistic actions, or non-factual statements in /do as well as lying in a /do YOU'LL be banned.
- Forceful commands should be used after RP or the party is unresponsive for 30 seconds (OOC).
- You are not able to roleplay that you have something on you if you do not have it actually inside of your inventory.
- Metagaming is the act of relaying IC information through any method not considered IC that has the potential to change current or future roleplay scenarios or using that information.
- Mixing IC and OOC information without any benefit is a minor MG offense. For example, a player uses IC chat to call someone by their player ID displayed above their head.
- Players may not have any interaction or knowledge from their alternate characters.
- Players should not intentionally base their actions and/or words based on how another player sounds, as their voice may not reflect their character. For example, a male character with a female voice does not automatically mean they are a trans man or vice versa if you attend to bash them you'll be banned.
- Players are welcome to voice their opinion or suggestions but may never disobey administrators.
- All players must be able to communicate in English and IC chat must be English only.
- Foreign language in-character must be done as such: “[Language] English Text”
- Other languages may be used in private only if everyone who can see has agreed to it.
- Sexual, torture, or disgusting roleplay is allowed only if all witnesses give prior OOC consent.
- Usage of ethnic and/or LGBT+ related slurs is considered disgusting roleplay and all parties involved must give prior OOC consent before it can be done.
- Racism Out of Character is strictly forbidden and can result in a permanent ban. - Players using offensive language IC must not use it excessively and must stop if asked OOCly.
- IC content must not contain acronyms like “lol” or “u” or smiley faces excluding /me's
- Public advertisements must only contain realistic IC content and cannot be used for crime.
- Roleplayed camera footage may be uploaded with RP proof of starting and a snippet but full footage must be stored and be available if needed otherwise the snippet is no longer valid.
- Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper IC motive and interaction.
- Prior interaction should include escalation such as a robbery or a report to the police.
- Players on foot should only be attempted to be hit with a vehicle once with valid motive as a tiny bump , no VDM.
- Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable.
- Players must be able to explain their reason and provide proof of prior reasoning if requested if not you'll be banned.
- Robberies should be conducted in a realistic manner with a reasonable in-character motive. Location, time of day, and realistic population should all be considered prior to a robbery. Players should not conduct minor robberies in situations with high risk. Players should consider the risk vs reward of the robbery and utilize secluded areas where necessary to avoid witnesses.
- One cannot force victims to withdraw money, sell script assets, or give assets not present IC.
- Permission for prison break must be approved by a Tester+ prior to the attempt.
- Players are allowed to kidnap or to take other players hostage within the context of reasonable escalation. Your escalation and reason behind the kidnapping should be able to be easily documented and explained if required by server staff. If your intention is to harm another player (e.g. injuring or killing them), then you need to refer to our DM rules. The situation can of course naturally develop into one where the player gets harmed.
- If you attempt to commit robbery of a property, you are allowed to hold the players within that property until you have finished the robbery. An NPC is not a valid hostage.
